Job Seeker Services
View Job Listings: You can view job listings on JobNet and JobCentral on easy-to-use touchscreen computers at your local Job Center or use the links on this page to view them on the Internet. In addition, your Job Center has internet computers where you can browse a variety of job listing sites throughout the state, country and world!
Self-help Resource Room: If you're looking for resources, information and tools to help you improve your job search success, the Job Center is the place to go! We have books, videos, pamphlets and related materials, free for your use! We also have computers with a range of software, from word processing to typing tutors and career exploration. Need to create a resume? Learn to type? Brush up on math skills? Come on in and take a look at what we have to offer!
Workshops, Clinics and Classes: Berlin Job Center offers onsite GED/HSED classes and assistance with resumes, cover letters, and interviewing techniques.
Special Programs: The Job Center offers many free services to individuals who meet certain eligibility guidelines. Services can include funds for training (books, tuition, childcare, transportation), On-the-Job-Training with area employers, individual counseling and job search assistance, job referrals and hands-on work experience. You may qualify for these programs if you meet specific income guidelines and are in one or more of the following categories:
    Unemployed/Underemployed
    Older Worker age 55 or more
    Disabled Individuals
    Dislocated/Laid Off worker receiving or eligible for unemployment compensation
    Low income Youth Age 16-21
    W2 participants current or recent participant
    Migrant Workers
    Veterans
    BadgerCare Plus
    ACCESS: A how-to guide for Wisconsin residents who need to access support services.
    Education Tax Credits
Assessment and Testing: Your Job Center offers a variety of standardized assessment and testing services, including proficiency, aptitude and interest testing.
Helping Agencies: Whether you're looking for housing assistance, parenting advice or help with an aging parent, the Job Center can connect you with the appropriate helping agency. If you need help and you can't find it, contact us!
Job Fairs: At least once a year, your Job Center brings employers and job seekers together by holding a Job Fair. Watch our calendar, because this is your opportunity to connect!
Resource Connections: Our Job Center website is your resource for service information, employment links, government resources and related connections. If you can't find what you need, contact your local Job Center and we'll get you connected!
